Accurate Forming offers several Value Added Secondary Operations to our customers. This week we continue with more of those operations;

Thread Rolling – The process of re-shaping the material surface of a round tube into a thread form. Thread rolling is not a metal cutting process. An advantage of the rolling process is that no stock is wasted in forming the thread, and the surface of a rolled thread is harder than that of a cut thread, thus increasing wear resistance. When considering thread rolling consideration should be taken regarding the outside diameter and length of the part that will need to be threaded. Accurate Forming provides our deep drawn product with thread rolling when screw threads are required or for a decorative finish on the part.

Bead Rolling – Metal forming process which forms a bead on the end of a tube. Tube beads can be used to help hold a separate piece on the end of a tube or to strengthen the end of the tube. Accurate Forming provides bead rolling on deep drawn tubes.

Name Stamping – A punch which indents characters onto the metal component. Accurate Forming provides name and character stamping on its deep drawn product which serves as an identifier for the customer. Consideration must be taken into account for the thickness of the part so as not to distort the part when adding the nomenclature. Accurate Forming will provide whatever marking is needed based on the customer requirement.

Next week we will finish our value added secondary operations.

What makes Accurate Forming unique is our ability to produce extremely high quality parts with long lengths, small diameters and very tight tolerances. We can accomplish this while working with materials such as aluminum, brass, stainless steel, cold roll steel, titanium grade 1, copper and a number of other precious metals. Let Accurate Forming’s engineering expertise help you design, produce and receive the highest quality part you can get.
